Our Vision

Simple. Focused. Relational.

At The Way of Christ Columbia, we keep ministry simple so we can stay focused on what matters most—loving God, loving people, and making disciples through relationships. We’re not building programs; we’re building people. Everything we do exists to help you grow in Christ and walk with others on the journey of faith.

We don’t want to be busy—we want to be fruitful. That means staying focused on what matters most and avoiding the distractions that spread our energy too thin.

It is easy to think success as a church means having more programs. But more doesn’t always mean better.

We’d rather go deep than go wide.

Everything we do at The Way of Christ has a clear purpose—to help people grow closer to Jesus and to one another. If something doesn’t help us love God more, love people better, or become more like Jesus, we won’t do it.

Our mission matters. And that’s where we keep our focus.

In short:
It’s not about building programs.
It’s about building people.
It’s not about organizing events.
It’s about cultivating relationships that lead to life in Christ.

Because when we love God deeply and love people intentionally, disciple-making naturally follows. We believe that the great commission flows from the great commandment.

Love God.

Love people.

Making disciples through relationships.

Our Identity

We are a family of Jesus-followers living on mission together.

Our Mission

Love God.

Love people.

Make disciples through relationships.

Our Vision

Building a relational community where everyday life becomes a place of spiritual formation.

The Discipleship Process:

Our Mission:

Make disciples who make disciples.

Plant churches that plant churches.

A disciple is someone who:

Follows Jesus

Is being changed by Jesus

Is committed to the mission of Jesus

Our vision doesn’t stop with who we are—it moves us toward what we’re becoming. At The Way of Christ Columbia, we’re building a movement of everyday disciples who make disciples.

We believe disciple-making happens best through relationships—life on life, in homes, neighborhoods, and everyday spaces. That’s why we’re committed to:

Making Disciples – Helping people follow Jesus in real life through intentional relationships.

Coaching Disciple-Makers – Equipping believers to walk alongside others with wisdom, encouragement, and accountability.

Creating Environments – Designing small groups, gatherings, and rhythms that foster spiritual growth and genuine community.

Resourcing the Mission – Providing tools and support for disciple-making that fits everyday life.

Planting New Churches – Reproducing disciple-making communities that live and love like Jesus. (10% of all weekly giving goes directly toward planting the next church.)

Our prayer is that this movement will multiply—disciples making disciples, communities birthing new communities—until the way of Christ transforms our city and beyond.

“Disciple-making is simply friendship with a spiritual direction.”
